LENTEN SCHEDULES AND GUIDELINES
Ash Wednesday, March 5, and Good Friday, April 18,
are days of fasting and abstinence.
Fridays of Lent are also days of abstinence.
The norms on fasting are obligatory from age 18 until age 59.
When fasting, a person is permitted to eat one full meal,
as well as two smaller meals that together are not equal to a full meal.
The norms concerning abstinence from meat
are binding upon members from age 14 onwards.
When health or ability to work would be seriously affected,
Church law does not oblige.

Father Jay will preside at a Holy Hour of Adoration and Benediction with Solemn Vespers on Wednesday, April 16 at 5:00 pm in the church. A potluck soup supper will follow in Founders Hall at 6:00 pm. There is no registration required; just a desire to spend an hour before our Lord to contemplate the meaning of His Passion and Resurrection.
Please contact Deacon Greg at [email protected] if you will be able to donate a pot of soup for the supper. All parishioners and visitors are welcome. There will be a free will offering opportunity to support the work of St. Vincent De Paul Society.
