Interested in becoming Catholic?
If any of these questions apply to you, OCIA is for you!
The Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA) is the process through which unbaptized adults can become Catholic. We also welcome baptized Christian adults (age 16 and over) who are considering joining the Church and those Catholics who are not yet Confirmed to join us to prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.
Participants attend classes to learn about the Catholic faith and gain an understanding of Catholic beliefs and practices.
Participants don’t have to make a commitment to become Catholic to join our classes. The Journey of Faith is different for each of us; we simply want to share what the Catholic Church has to offer.
Our OCIA classes are for the following seekers:

Order of Christian Initiation for Adults
About 150,000 people join the Catholic Church through the OCIA program each year. Our program has run from 4 to 20+ over the past 5 years.
To keep our program vibrant, we need help in two critical areas.

OCIC: Special Request
Order of Christion Initiation for Children
OCIC is the method by which we bring unbaptized children (aged 7 or older) into the Catholic Church (much like OCIA).
Many Catholics are not aware that by Canon Law, children who are seven years old or older must receive First Communion and Confirmation when they are Baptized in the Catholic Church.
At this point, we have the potential of having three children who will need OCIC this year.
Our goal is to provide as much individual attention as possible for these children. We could use one or two teachers with elementary grade experience to help out.
If you’ve been looking for a way to share your love of Christ and your teaching experience, here’s your opportunity.
Please contact Terri Lacey at [email protected].
We look forward to your helping us out.
