‘Amen, I say to you, as long as you did it for one of these, the least of My brethren, you did it for Me.’ (Matt;25,v40)
The Matthew 25 Ministry officially launched in January 2015 with the goal to regularly visit the Catholic parishioners who reside in the local nursing homes and those who are homebound and unable to regularly attend Mass.
Ministry disciples visit residents of extended care facilities within the Parish boundaries. Currently, visitors reach out to residents of 7 facilities in Moore County, including:
As part of the Matthew 25 ministry, a new resource will be added to help parishioners understand senior living options.
A Senior Living Advisor will be available to provide support to parishioners and family members who are about to make a decision to enter a Long Term Care (LTC) facility, stay in their home or become more informed about resources offered in the community. This includes meeting with individuals who are in the hospital, rehabilitation facility or at home. This Ministry would provide guidance as well as resource material.
Discussions will be on a confidential and individual basis.
Recommendations will not be made by the Advisor, but will provide resources and support in the decision-making process.
