Confirmation I Formation Program - Class Syllabus
Program Overview: Two years of Confirmation formation for Grades 9 and 10 High School students begin in September 2024 for a planned Confirmation date in the Spring of 2026. Students will meet with the Formation Program leaders one evening per month between 5 pm and 7 pm in Founders Hall at the Church for class presentations and group discussion. Light dinner will be provided on these evenings for students. Parents are encouraged to attend the sessions but they are not required. In-person, one-on-one conferences with one of the team leaders will also be scheduled with each candidate between monthly seminar class meetings to review progress and for further catechesis and spiritual guidance. Other requirements of the program include regular attendance at Sunday Mass, participation in the Sacraments of the Church, charitable service work, and yearly organized retreat days for the class as a group, and periodic, planned liturgical rites.1
