    Women of Sacred Heart Golf Tournament Results: Congratulations to the winners of the Women of Sacred Heart Golf Tournament held on April 19 at Longleaf Golf Course. A nine hole scramble was played by 40 golfers. !st Place, with a score of 30, went to the team of Judy Gais, Anita Brewer, Carol Kroes and Susan Fogarty. Second and Third Place was determined through a match of cards with each team scoring 33. The team of Nancy Heilman, Sandy Monin, Cathy Burns and Cathy Nogay won Second and the team of Jan Kuklok, Mickey Henry, Mary Rouse and Susan Olech won Third. A beautiful day on the golf course was enjoyed by all which was followed by a delicious lunch. Women of Sacred Heart thanks Pat Ironside for her leadership to this event.

    Once again Women of Sacred Heart will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with an Interesting and Fun Filled Meeting on Thursday, March 9. Surprises galore are in store for the meeting which will be held at 10:00 in Founders Hall. Denise Drum Baker, retired art teacher at Sandhills Community College, will talk about the Sister City Program. Denise was instrumental in having Southern Pines be named the Sister City of Newry, Northern Ireland. Games, Irish songs, and special entertainment are planned. All women of the parish are invited. Come, bring a friend, wear something green and join in the spirit of the day. It will also be our “Lenten Soup Day”.
