The Knights of Columbus are planning a LAMB fundraiser for the weekend Masses during Lent, starting March 5. It will be a take-home dinner consisting of a 32 oz food container of pasta sauce (provided by Valenti’s restaurant in Vass) and a 1 lb. box of pasta. Just reheat the sauce and boil the pasta and you will have a delicious dinner for 3-4 people. We will be in the Gathering Area

Vespers will be prayed on Thursday evenings at 6 PM during Lent in the Adoration Chapel. All are welcome to attend this ancient liturgy – Adorers, parishioners at large, others in the community who wish to gather before the Blessed Sacrament for a brief period of prayer together. Prayer booklets will be available each week. Can you spare 20 minutes mid-week for Evening Prayer of the Church with Christ and to Christ?

March 10 will be a Festive and Fun-Filled Day for the Women of Sacred Heart. Surprises galore are planned to celebrate Saint Partick at their March Meeting to be held at 10:00 in Founders Hall. You will have to attend to find out what those surprises are. All women of the parish are invited. Come, bring a friend, wear something green and join in the spirit of the day. All parishioners are invited to contribute to the Baby Shower sponsored by Women of Sacred Heart which will benefit the Life Care Pregnancy Center in Carthage. Donations will be accepted the weeks of February 21 and February 28 through Sunday, March 6. Please leave the items in Jeanne Ryan’s Office during the week and in Founders Hall on weekends. The Nursery is looking for teenage helpers! Helpers would be needed on Sundays during one Mass time and/or Faith Formation. Duties include playing with young children, reading to the children, prepping snacks, setting up before Nursery starts and cleaning up once Nursery closes. Teens are paid $8/hour. COFFEE AND DOUGHNUTS WILL BE HELD ON MARCH 13TH FROM 8:30 TILL 10:30 AM. There will be NO coffee and doughnuts on the second Sunday of April as the second Sunday is Palm Sunday. Also, there will be coffee and doughnuts on the second Sunday of May. We sincerely apologize for the sporadic scheduling. We were competing with Covid and inclement weather. We will try to have a more consistent program as things improve.

Good Samaritan Weekend is always the first weekend of each month, February 5 and 6, 2022. We ask that if possible, you would donate food to our Mission Church, San Juan Diego. Non -perishable food items that can be found in the international section of your local grocery store are suggested, but all donations are appreciated. Fruit and vegetables, as well as potatoes are needed. Please leave all bags in the Gathering Area and mark them San Juan Diego. Our Robbins community is overwhelmed by your thoughtful generosity!

Father Capodanno, a private Catholic High School located in Vass requires the students to perform community service. The students are available each Wednesday from 9-11 and would love to help parishioners clean up yards, rake leaves or perform other small tasks. The Nursery is open! We are happy to have your children ages 1-4 years old in the Nursery every Sunday for 8 am and 10:45 am Mass. We are happy to announce that we will be open for Ash Wednesday (March 2nd) for the 10 am and 6 pm Mass. Please note that it is our strict policy that only children with all of their scheduled childhood vaccinations will be accepted in the Nursery.

Dear Parishioners, Fr. John has made the decision to cancel Masses tomorrow morning, Sunday. The weather forecast calls for refreezing of roads and wet surfaces which can certainly pose hazardous driving and icy conditions on our Church property. Please know that this decision was made to ensure the safety of all. God Bless!

Starting this weekend, Jan 15 and ongoing until Jan 23 we will be collecting blankets for our Sandhills/Moore Coalition.
